This is the first certification program for life insurance salespersons in India.


The course is designed for agents or direct marketing executives or financial advisors or financial consultants (and also for their supervisors who would like to sharpen their sales process skills).


Course Content


The course covers skills in the sales process

  • Closing

Each module is practical and gives you tools that can be used in the market. All tools are designed to increase your sales and your income. The course is designed to take you from one level of earning to another, earning sweet success every time a module is completed, and its tools are implemented in the field.


Faculty: Highly dedicated faculty with years of experience in life insurance sales, marketing and in training will conduct the course.


Eligibility: Currently working as a licensed agent or as a direct marketing executive or financial advisor or financial consultant or as a supervisor of agents in any life insurance company or with any life insurance corporate agency or life insurance broker.


Course Conduct: The Course can be conducted in classroom or through online video training. Online video training will involve assignments which will have to be completed in order to continue in the course.


Duration: 6 days in the classroom or 15 days online (daily 3 hours per day for 3 days in a week).


Evaluation: Evaluation shall take place on the extent of skill absorption in the classroom, on the extent of its application on the field, 100 % attendance in the classroom, meeting the production norms of the course and the completion of all assignments. The conditions for certification include, amongst other conditions, demonstrated daily working habits as prescribed, achieving business targets and maintaining the prescribed records.


Certification: On successful completion of the Course IIST will issue a certificate of merit, leading to the title of Certified Life Insurance Sales Professional (CLISP).


Your responsibilities: IIST guarantees the effectiveness of the program and teaching content on the condition that you will implement all that is taught in the Program. It is your responsibility to implement the training inputs of the Program.


Locations: The classroom Course can be conducted at any location within India subject to a minimum of 30 confirmed participants. For online video training, location may be in any town. No minimum number of participants for online video training.


Fee: Rs. 10,000 per person (non-residential) (plus GST 18 %) for the course. Boarding and lodging of the participants will be extra. Trainers’ (for 2 trainers), travel, boarding and lodging will be extra.
